02 The story
Halcyon had a strong product hidden behind a loud, generic fintech look: neon gradients, shiny 3D coins and a name set in four different typefaces depending on who had made the slide.
Their customers told us the same thing in different words: they liked the app, but they didn’t yet trust it with their savings. So we rebuilt the identity around one idea – calm.
The new brand uses a restrained palette, a custom wordmark with softened corners and a visual language of layered, slowly shifting shapes that suggest money in motion without shouting about it. The tone of voice got the same treatment: shorter sentences, no exclamation marks, no jargon.
Everything ships as a design system, so the product team rolled the new look into the app in a single release instead of a year of patchwork.
